GUESTS

DIMITRIS KOLIOUSSIS (right, photo 1) is highly regarded as the most important personality in the art of painting in Santorini and one of the most praised artists in the modern byzantine iconography.

If you think you don’t know him but have ever visited the famous church of Episkopi Gonia, then you know him. That is simply because his art is behind of 26 brilliant icons inside the church, a historic mission entrusted to him by the Episkopi after the shameless robbery from the night of June 2nd 1982.
It is a huge honour for us to be able to present some of the works that he creates in his studio-cave situated right on the Marble Street in Oia, for over thirty years.

1260ºCeramic STUDIO (photo 2) is already a well-established name in the ceramic scene of the island and it gets its name from one of the highest temperatures used to fire ceramic, an art mastered by the studio owners.  For the past 5 years it has been run by Marina Taliadorou and Giannis Vlantonopoulos, two ceramic artists who transform pottery into art every time they work, together or individually.
The pieces that will be xhibited at the galery have been created exclusively for this event.

FAROS MARKET (photo 6) is more than a charming place right in the middle of the southern nowhere. It is the work of a three generations saga of an agricultural family located right at the southern end of the island. Here we found the best ingredients for some 4th century recipe we discovered in an old book and we are going to offer a small tasting of them at the opening party!
