RELIGIOUS CELEBRATIONS

Greece is a deep-rooted orthodox country - a major pillar in the history of Christianity - with their worldwide famous byzantine monasteries and monks. Santorini alone has 352 churches and chapels, with the oldest active one being Episkopi Gonia (11th century).

Some of the religious celebration days - for whom the doors open only once a year - are unique and profound in their ancient attitude, with a distinct greek flavour and a deep vibration that a believer or a man on a quest will feel the very moment will step in.

Therefore we offer you the once-in-a-year chance to participate on some of the most important days of this kind:

the Orthodox Eastern in April, featuring the unique celebration of Good Friday in Pyrgos

the celebration of Prophet Elijah on 20th of July at the eponymous monastery on the eponymous mountain

The Adormition of Holy Mother on 15th of August, featuring the third most important portable icon in the orthodox world

the "Panagia tis Madronas" on 19th of October, one of the most expected.

Every tour is highly custom made according to your interests but there is generally a wide range of options – holy mass, night watch, panagia, feasts, food and wines a.o. You will be offered all explanations about what is happening. Very limited seats available so book earlier:
